Our client, region Ghent is looking for a Formulation scientist.
You will drive drug product developments and contribute significantly to (pre)clinical and stability studies.
As the ideal candidate, you are an experienced Formulation Scientist ready to take charge of formulation development projects for new chemical entities. Your strong technical background and ability to lead multiple projects independently will shine in this dynamic role.
- You provide technical expertise and scientific input on formulation development strategies.
- You prepare and practically execute formulation development projects.
- You provide scientific expertise and formulation insights during Core Teams meetings.
- You assist in client meetings to present scientific data clearly.
- You write scientific reports for clients, such as formulation development reports.
- You draft work instructions for the Formulation Associate Scientists, ensuring efficient and scientifically sound work performance.
- You monitor experiments and ensure complex data is interpreted correctly.
- You identify potential stability and performance issues with prototype formulations.
- You streamline various formulation technologies to improve turnaround times and formulation quality.
- You support the scale-up of developed formulations for GMP manufacturing.
Wie zoeken we?
- You hold a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences or have a MSc with 5+ years experience in formulation development.
- You have hands-on experience in one or more of the following fields: (wet) milling technology, spray drying, fluid bed granulation/coating, emulsions, tabletting/encapsulation, and/or injectable formulations (small or large molecules).
- You possess excellent oral and written communication skills in fluently English, Dutch is a plus.
- You demonstrate flexibility to work in both R&D and GMP environments, and/or handling tech transfer from R&D to GMP.
- You are self-motivated and easily adapt to changing environments.
- You can work independently or as part of a team, motivating your co-workers.
- You deliver results within limited time and budget, are solution-oriented, and stress resistant.
